Founded in late 2024, Square Line Golf’s journey began many years earlier. The idea was born out of a question from PGA Life Member Robb Nunn's father, who wondered if a square putter grip could ever work. Robb was in his early teens at the time. Fast forward some 35 years, a few years after his father's passing, his mom asked him, "What happened to the putter grip idea your father asked you about?" 

With a question from each parent, Robb was spurred into action and in 2012 the idea for our revolutionary putter grip was conceived. With his design, Robb created a few hundred grips which received rave reviews from initial customers. The grip was used in numerous local, regional, and national amateur and professional events with some success that includes official PGA earnings. Unfortunately, unforeseen events caused the project to be temporarily shelved.   Although disheartened, Robb knew his product had a market and kept the belief that everything happens for a reason—there are no coincidences. 

Fast forward to 2024, Robb met Matt Simmons at a golf store in Michigan. United by their passion for golf and entrepreneurial spirit, they formed a partnership. Matt’s engineering and molding expertise made him the perfect fit to help bring the project to life. Throughout 2024, Robb and Matt collaborated to develop their business plan and find reputable suppliers to launch Square Line Golf. Their aim is to revolutionize the game of golf worldwide.
